Detailed 6N/7D day-wise itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar / Rishikesh
Meet your driver at the contracted pickup point. Check in and review ID, pilgrimage registration, fitness, prescription medications and weather advisory. Enjoy a gentle evening and avoid late-night travel before the mountain drive. Overnight Haridwar.
Day 2: Haridwar to Guptkashi
Leave early for the Mandakini valley using the officially open highway. Travel is scenic but slow in hill sections, so keep stops brief and take hydration breaks. Reach Guptkashi/Sonprayag region, check in, and confirm the current Kedarnath trail access system. Overnight Guptkashi.
Day 3: Gaurikund to Kedarnath
Drive as far as officially authorised and transfer by local transport as directed. Trek uphill from Gaurikund on the marked route, allowing realistic time and rest according to personal fitness. Darshan depends on temple opening, crowd controls and weather, not Tourwala guarantees. Overnight in limited pilgrim accommodation near Kedarnath if available.
Day 4: Kedarnath descent and return to Guptkashi
Where permitted, complete pending darshan early and begin a careful descent. Rejoin your booked vehicle after local shuttle arrangements and travel to your lower-altitude hotel. Keep the afternoon and evening open for recovery; do not plan sightseeing. Overnight Guptkashi.
Day 5: Guptkashi to Badrinath
Drive across the mountain road towards Badrinath after an early start. Carry layered clothing and water; road blockages can lengthen the transfer. Check in and visit Badrinath temple only if the arrival time and queue conditions permit; otherwise use the following morning. Overnight Badrinath.
Day 6: Badrinath darshan to Rudraprayag
Visit the temple at an official darshan slot where required. After check-out, drive towards Rudraprayag or an appropriate downhill halt. Mana village or other detours are optional, not assured on a long journey. Overnight at the transit hotel.
Day 7: Return to Haridwar / Rishikesh
Depart after breakfast for Haridwar/Rishikesh. Stop for breaks without depending on fixed arrival timing in the mountains. Drop at the agreed location, leaving a prudent buffer before any rail or air connection. Tour ends.

FAQs about kedarnath badrinath tour package
Does Do Dham include all four Dhams?
No. This is Kedarnath and Badrinath only. The four-shrine circuit is covered by our separate Char Dham page.
How long is the Kedarnath trek?
Uttarakhand Tourism lists a route of around 16 km from Gaurikund, subject to operational changes. This involves significant ascent and altitude.
Are Kedarnath room and helicopter guaranteed?
No. High-altitude lodging is limited and helicopters must be booked through official authorised channels if available.
Do we have to register?
The applicable official Uttarakhand pilgrimage registration and checks are required. Use the government registration portal.
Which duration is best for a family?
6N/7D is a sample; 7N/8D with a contingency night is usually easier to plan around uncertain mountain conditions.
Can a person unable to trek see Kedarnath?
Tourwala cannot promise trekking alternatives. Discuss medical fitness and any independently bookable, authorised transport before paying.
